Sofia played for a long time both as a goalie and field player. It wasn´t until her coaches in the state team told her that she had a really good shot at becoming a national team goalie, that she finally took her pick.
It has benefitted her greatly to combine the two for longer than most. Her feet are super reliable, and she can read the game even better to anticipate what her opponents will do.
She has been a member of the Swedish youth national team ever since U-15, consistently being selected to the camps and tournaments.
Another big merit is that she won the Swedish Championship in the prestigous State Cup Nationals in 2019, against Stockholm in a well-played and exciting final.

She already has 2 full season as the starting goalie in Swedish div.1 (3rd) tier top team IFK Norrköping. In 2020 they became league champions and went on the win the qualifyer up to Elitettan (2nd tier), where they will play 2021.
Sofia has been practicing with 1st tier squad Linköping FC on top of her IFK-practices the past few years, and gotten challenged against some of the best players in the world. The club wanted to sign her full-time for the 2021 season, which would have been a childhood dream come true for the 18-year old. However, she decided to be patient and take one step at a time. Next one being the first season in Elitettan with Norrköping.
